1.    General rules and Junior rules apply to this show.

2.      Steers arriving at the show without an Official Texas Validation Ear Tag will not be eligible to show unless the state validation form is brought by the exhibitor.

3.     THERE WILL BE TWO SHOWS THIS YEAR.  EXHIBITORS WILL SHOW IN SHOW A, MOVE TO SHOW B HOLDING AREA, THEN TO SHOW B.  EXHIBITORS WISHING TO PARTICIPATE IN SHOW B, MUST SHOW IN SHOW A.

4.     There will two divisions; Progress and Prospect.  Steers will be weighed one time.  Scales will be balanced after each fifteen steers are weighed.  Steers will be broken by weights and placed in equal numbers in classes as close as possible.  Steers weighing 1000 lbs and over will be shown as Progress Steers.  Progress Steers will be divided into three classes: British, American, and Exotic.  Prospect Classes will be weighed, classified, and shown in the following order.

1.  Angus 6.  Brahman 11.  Charolais
2.  Red Angus 7.  Brangus 12.  Simmental
3.  Hereford 8.  Red Brangus 13.  Limousin
4.  Polled Hereford 9.  Simbra 14.  Maine-Anjou
4.  Shorthorn 10.  Santa Gerturdis 15.  Chianina
    16.  All other breeds

5.      The show order will be as follows: Heifers, Progress Steers, Prospect Steers, Scholarship Award, and Showmanship.
