1.        General rules apply to this show.

2.        The show is sanctioned by the American Boer Goat Association.

3.        This show is open to all exhibitors.  There is no limit on the number of animals that can be entered in a class by an exhibitor.  No animals shall be changed from one class to another after entry unless it is ineligible for the class in which it is entered.

4.        All goats must be register in one of the recognized Herdbooks of the American Boer Goat Association, Canadian Boer Goat Association, International Boer Goat Association.  The original registration certificate is required and animals must be registered in the name of the exhibitor.  Custom fitters, if different from the Owner/Exhibitor, will register with superintendent if owner/Exhibitor will not be in attendance at show.

5.        Birth dates as listed on the registration certificate will be used to determine the class divisions.  The show date will be the base date in computing all ages.  Take the show date and count back to the birth date of the goat to determine the age and the class for the animal. 

6.        Heelers will not be allowed in any classes.

7.        Any goat showing any pronounced defect or abnormality, such as weak constitution, unthrifty condition, overshot jaw, or undershot jaw will be barred from showing in any of the breeding classes.  No artificial coloring will be allowed.  Illegible tattoos or tattoos inconsistent with registration papers will result in disqualification.  Any doe over 24 months of age that has not kidded and cannot prove a current pregnancy will not be allowed to show.  Progeny of fresh does will not be allowed in the ring.

8.      Fitting will be left up to the discretion of the exhibitor.

9.     Classes will be set up for:   1.  Percentage Boer Does
                                                2.  Full blood/American Purebred Does & Bucks

Class 1 - 0 to 3 months
Class 2 - 3 to 6 months
Class 3 - 6 to 9 months
Class 4 - 9 to 12 months
Class 5 - Junior Division Champion
Class 6 - Junior Division Reserve Champion
Class 7 - 12 to 16 months
Class 8 - 16 to 20 months
Class 9 - 20 to 24 months
Class 10 - Yearling Division Champion
Class 11 - Yearling Division Reserve Champion
Class 12 - 24 to 36 months
Class 13 - 36 months plus
Class 14 - Senior Division Champion
Class 15 - Senior Division Reserve Champion
Class 16 - Grand Champion
Class 17 - Reserve Grand Champion
Class 18 - Exhibitors Flock

 10.     An Exhibitor's flock in all breeds shall consist of one buck any age, two does (yearling or older) and two doe kids.

11.     Livestock exhibitors will be allowed to display signs over exhibits advertising their own herds.  This will only be allowed in the show barn.

12.     All entry cards must include the ABGA, CBGA, or IBGA registration number and the permanent ID of the goats entered and a copy of the Registry certificate.

13.     All goats must bear the permanent identification number as recorded on the entry cards.

14.     Exhibitors are responsible for keeping their animals in assigned pens.  Some may need to be tied.
