Special Rules

1.    All entries in Antiques & Relics Division are subject to the General Rules & Regulations of the Creative Arts Division
  as published herein.  PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

2.    Entries in Antiques & Relics MUST BE 50 years old or older.

3.    No exhibitor will be allowed to enter more than fifteen (15) articles in this department.

4.    This is a show for people who are interested in preserving treasure of the past, whether they be family heirlooms
  or purchased for private enjoyment.  No person or immediate family of anyone who is engaged in buying or selling
  of antiques as a business is eligible to enter articles for judging.  However, articles can be entered for exhibit
  ONLY
.

5.    Articles which have received a First Place award in the Antiques & Relics Department last year will not be permitted to complete for awards.  Second and third place winners from last year are eligible to enter again this year.

 

JUDGING CRITERIA

1.    Rarity – A rare article may take precedence over an older object.

2.    Age – Must be 50 years or older.

3.    Condition – Usage wear is expected.  Cracks or chips can be accepted; however any damage will be noted on the entry forms and/or covered with clear tape at time of entry.

4.    No broken or incomplete articles will be judged.

5.    Cleanliness – All articles must be free of dirt, grime or cobwebs.

6.    Altered antiques will be accepted for judging.
