General Rules & Regulations

1.       Entry times are listed on pages under each department.

2.       The Chairman in each department reserves the right to accept or reject entries, depending on condition and suitability.  NO SHIPPED-IN EXHIBITS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

3.        Articles which have received an award at a previous exhibition for this Fair will not be permitted to compete for an award, except where special department rules apply.

4.       Awards will be given in accordance with the merits of the articles exhibited.

5.       All exhibits must be the work of the exhibitor and completed within the last Fair year (September 2007 to September 2008) except where special rules require otherwise.

6.       Judges will not award prices to an unworthy exhibit.  It is the intention that no premium of any kind be given to an undeserving exhibit.  This rule must be strictly adhered to whether there is competition or not.  No soiled articles will be accepted, except in Antiques & Relics.

7.       An exhibitor cannot enter more than one (1) article under any one class number in any department, except where special department rules apply.

8.       NO ENTRY FEE WILL BE CHARGED in any of the Creative Arts Departments.

9.       No article can be exhibited to compete for more than one award, except where special department rules apply.

10.     All articles must be completed and no kits will be accepted, except where special department rules apply.

11.    Articles may be arranged by the Department Chairman or Co-Chairman at his or her discretion or convenience.

12.    Articles that are too large for display will not be accepted.

13.    Exhibitors are requested to pick up or redeem their articles in all Creative Arts Departments between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2008.  NO ARTICLES WILL BE RELEASED EXCEPT ON PRESENTATION OF DUPLICATE ENTRY TICKET.  Any exhibit not picked up by 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2008 will be held at the PBFE office for (5) days, after which it will be disposed of.

14.    NO ARTICLE entered for exhibit in any Creative Arts Department may be removed prior to 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, September 14, 2008, except with written permission signed by a Creative Arts Director.

15.    The Permian Basin Fair & Exposition and its representatives are not responsible for any breakage or damage of entries.
